Sino-India ceremonial border personnel meet held in Ladakh

The ceremonial border personal meeting was marked by hoisting of national flags by both the delegations.

Jammu: Indian and Chinese troops on Tuesday held a ceremonial Border personnel meeting on the occasion of the 'Chinese Spring Festival'.

The meeting was held at Chinese Border Personnel Meeting huts in Chushul and DBO sectors of Eastern Ladakh, PRO Defence said.

At Chushul, the delegations were led by Brig RS Raman and Senior Col Qian Youu Wu while at the DBO, the delegations were led by Col BS Uppal and Lt Col Duan Yugang, he said.

The ceremonial border personal meeting was marked by hoisting of national flags by both the delegations, followed by the opening address by the delegation leaders, he said.

The proceedings reflected the mutual desire of maintaining and improving relations at functional level at the border, the officer said, adding that thereafter, a cultural programme showcasing vibrant Chinese cultural grandeur was organised.

"The two delegations interacted in a free, congenial and cordial environment," he said.
